I'd think that Lindsey would steer clear of discussing gay topics.

Polygamy? Murder? Lindsey Graham’s Anti-Gay Marriage ‘Debate’ Deserves Rebuke | The New Civil Rights Movement

Republican U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham last night used polygamy and murder to define the boundaries of the “debate” on same-sex marriage, just as Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia used murder and bestiality to define the area of debate in which same-sex marriage should exist. Invoking issues like murder, bestiality, and polygamy is offensive and wholly facetious, and ”facile,” as Piers Morgan responded. Senator Graham also blamed the media for the public’s embrace of marriage equality, and — when all was said and done — stated he believes the states should have the right to decide who marries and who does not, especially because in his home state of South Carolina, religion is the reason “we’re not going to change the definition of traditional marriage.”

Graham, who says the media paints LGBT people as “funny, charming, and kind” — as if that’s problematic — says he doesn’t “hate,” he just feels “traditional marriage” is “best for society,” and challenged CNN host Piers Morgan to pass a constitutional amendment if he wants same-sex couples to be able to marry.

Morgan attacked Senators Graham, McCain, and Lieberman as “unAmerican” for their views on marriage equality.

    Fortunately the SCOTUS disagrees...

    Loving v Virginia (1967)
    Zablocki v Wisconsin (1978)
    Turner v Safley (1987)

What's sick is that we need one. It's the 21st century...I thought we'd have Civil Rights down by now.

So in your twisted world, two consenting adults entering into a legal contract will inevitably lead to murder, incest and polygamy being legalized?

You are why there have been such huge leaps in the marriage equality struggle...

It is inevitable. Once a culture starts down the road of depravity, it doesn't stop. In Germany a few years ago the debate was whether a cannibal who had eaten his gay lover was guilty of murder since the acts were consensual. It happened again just recently with a Canadian cannibal.

Interestingly enough, American college students found a universal human right to be butchered and eaten. Just as long as the consent was legal and in writing.

Victim of cannibal agreed to be eaten | World news | The Guardian

Consensual Cannibal Victim: Is His Killer Guilty? - Human Rights - Fanpop

This particular case study was discussed at length in my class and was by the end of the hour and a half session still unsettled. The class was divided into three parts, and almost equally. A third of the class believed that if Brandes truly was consensual, and if friends, family, or doctors could vouch for his psychological health, than he should have the right to give up his own life (and body) to another,

As far as polygamy and incest goes, those laws are going to go pretty quickly. After all we are talking about consenting adults entering into a legal contract. Just change the consent laws and ten year olds will be able to enter into such contracts. After all, the only prohibition on sex with minors is an arbitrary law that someone wrote down long ago.

The Civil Rights Act failed. That alone should tell you something.

In a man-woman legal marriage, there has never been murder and polygamy, correct?

You wingnuts get increasingly stupid every day. You scream 'Freedom', then try to impose your morality on everyone elses private lives. You are the sick fucks.

Really? General Colin Powel. President Barak Obama. And so many others.

What has failed is the bigotry of you and your kind. You are part of the America that the rest of us rejected. This is America for all Americans, not just rightwing pasty faced knownothings.

Looking forward to that? Seems Conservative states are where that problem is the worst.

Which US state has the highest incest rate

Statistically, Alaska has the second highest rate. The state with the highest rate is Alabama.

Lindsey is so scared of being primaried by the tea party. He's got a lot going against him, being a single man in the Deep South.

And, States still make and enforce marriage laws. Which tells me you have no freaking clue what those cases actually say.

We do have civil rights. Pretending we don't is ridiculous.
