This wonderful young man named Uriah Shelton is the reason why Lifted is my most favorite film. :) :) :)

God bless you and Uriah always!!! :) :) :)

P.S. Uriah sings in the Lifted movie, but it was made before his voice did its aging. I love his singing both now and then. :) :) :)

My immediate thought was Clint Eastwood and Lee Marvin singing in the movie "Paint Your Wagon".

Lorne Green did some recordings (mostly spoken words).

How about Pierce Brosnan and Meryl Streep singing in the movie "Mamma Mia!".

Stephen King has a band that plays in small clubs in the northeast.

Jim Nabors went from playing Gomer Pyle to having quite a singing career.

And some of those were linked earlier but those are movie scenes, which is what an actor does anyway. What I had in mind was actors, politicians, etc, stepping completely outside their usual roles. For example, Clint Eastwood playing piano in a jazz club, not in a movie at all. Found a couple of clips with Ralph Macchio (actor) playing guitar, but again these were movie clips so I didn't post them.

Lorne Greene was actually a staff news announcer for the CBC before his voice carried him into acting fame. Fun fact. :)

Now that would be golden here.

Just came across this -- pretty damn good...

Watch one of the bass player's strings snap at 1:19 -- sounds like a gunshot -- you can see it up close ten seconds later :)

One of two records I acquired recently -- Chamaeleon Church: Here's a Song
(Chevy Chase on drums, keyboards & lead vocal here)

YouTube date is erroneous -- it's actually 1968...

This is the other recent acquisition:

Carp - Save the Delta Queen (Gary Busey, co-writer, drums & vocal) (1970)

Somehow I've had occasion to post several videos recently of politicians in the role of musician. Music is a great equalizer, so here's a thread for posting music by those who are famous for something else, not music, be they politicians or anything else. Show us another side we don't usually see. No politics, just music...

OK

Mike Huckabee doing Mustang Sally with Mama Kicks.

I've been meaning to ask him how come he plays righthanded.
Presumably a shortage of lefthanded instruments --- just a guess. I suspect he's one of those..... ambis. :ack-1:
