Polls Are Crap

But occasional exceptions can be made when the poll results match previous public pronouncements by candidates and their followers.

Heartland-Rasmussen Reports: Likely Voters for Free Speech, Against Socialism
Hey, Billy! I'm encouraged the poll shows that free speech is favored, but ( I hope I phrase the right)..the term 'socialism' needs a more plausible definition than a brief objective dictionary blurb for an amateur like me . I wish posters would give examples of what they call the hated socialism. We all know Social Security and Medicare are socialism. If you are retired, you pretty much depend on those programs unless you want to move in with the kids. But what about payments to farmers for loss of a customer, or subsidizing crop losses and price drops? Then there's stuff like food stamps and Medicaid. So it is obvious that SOME forms of socialism are OK, and some are to be feared like the plague...and an under-educated fool like me would like to know good socialism from bad socialism. Can somebody spell it out for me?

The Constitution spells out the national model quite clearly.

SS and Medicare indeed are. The rest, you are confusing socialism with promoting the general welfare.

To clarify, Communism/socialism has been considered a catch-all term for all things Marxist in origin or related for the last seven decades.

""The Constitution spells out the national model quite clearly.""
The Constitution spells out a lot that gets ignored lately too..emoluments, subpoenas..

""To clarify, Communism/socialism has been considered a catch-all term""
They are also weaponized words used to slander opposition and differences of opinion that often have nothing to do with communism or socialism, and so have no clear meaning anymore. I don't like Trump as President, so I get called commie lots of times even as he bows before KGB Man and lays our elections at his feet like a puppy bringing its master home a trophy.

Polls are all crap unless I like what the polls says.... or something like that....

I see your would-be Thulsa Doom has had his way with you.
