I'd say that Dubya's definitely slower than his Daddy.

Mittens is a slow learner. 8 years and still can't figure out how to win the White House.

I propose yet another candidate: any unnamed poster asking about the "slower" of a given set of options, when she or he is really hoping to determine the slowest.

Hi Capstone: This is based on the common phrase "slower than Christmas."
So that is why I used "slower." Thanks for the free grammar lesson!

So this thread is based on an idiotic idiom.

    How strangely appropriate.

But Obama has gone a lifetime without taking responsibility.

So while I do like you answer I think I found something slower.

    How about my own "slowness"
in not understanding your motivation for picking apart "external" details
such as how people state things literally (instead of focusing on actual content)?

Are you saying this thread offers no way of posting any statements with content,
where the best you can do is comment on the grammar and syntax?

    Is this your point?
Please forgive me again for being slow to respond!
