It's hard to tell but it does not appear to be an AR 15. Looks more like a Marlin Model 60 with its tube magazine, which I think is what he used to kill his mother.

Not a bushmaster in that trunk, but is instead a rifle with what appears to have a small clip on the bottom (maybe 5 rounds I'm guessing)... Looks like a deer rifle or old military rifle or something to that affect...

I could post a dozen articles from every major news station reporting that he had 3 guns in the school, and a rifle in the car. However, I don't think you would accept any of those as facts.

If Adam Lanza DIDN'T use an AR-15 then just HOW did those rounds get there? He HAD to have killed himself with a handgun because as was reported, he took 4 handguns inside and left the AR-15 in the car.

Still waiting for surveillance video of Adam Lanza walking around the school, guns in hand. That would put this all to rest would it?

The question was asked what is the purpose of this poll well as we have heard it was the pistols used in Newtown not the assault rifle. Since this tragedy happened the seemingly single minded focus of the gun control advocates has been the banning of assault rifles using this incident as a example of why they should be banned. So the purpose it seems to me is to show that while gun control people might and I stress might get a assault rifle ban they will have done nothing to actually limit or restrict the sale and availability of the type of guns actually used in the Newton shooting.
