Poll: Oil Spill Response Worse Than Katrina

Well, everything that ever happened, is happening, or will happen in the future is the fault of the Great & Powerful yet Incredibly Stupid George W. Booooosssshhhhhhhhh, donchaknow.

The destructive effects of this terrible tragedy will be with us for generations. People can't even see what's happening under the sea. It is a monstrous ecological calamity. It's just very sad. This White House's response has been pitiful.

The only real connection between the two events in geological location. Katrina was a weather event, one where everything in the path was trashed, meaning support had to be outside the area of affect then moved in. The event was then over and after a while you had a realistic assesment of what had to be done. The spill is something more technological, where one does not really even know what you need to contain/remove it. It is dynamic, and the eventual extent of the area affected in unkown.

Bush and the Republicans ignored Katrina victims for 10 to 14 days.

Obama had people there, just like the floods on the east coast and the mid west tornadoes, the very first day.

Republicans hate Obama so much, no matter what he does, they only see "fail". It's why they call him racist names.

This link begs to differ that the government ignored the area for 10-14 days. I find it ironic that a BDS sufferer points out ODS in Republicans. Its actually kind of funny.

And river floods and tornados are different response situations. The damage is usually localized, not affecting access to the area as much as a gigantic hurricane that poured rain onto the area you needed to transverse to respond to said hurricane they day after it happened.

Again with the "movie" viewpoint on how people can respond to natural or man made disasters. Same thing with Hati and people complaining stuff took too long.

President Obama has yet to declare this crisis a National Emergency. Sign the online petition @ stopthespill.org/petition/.

BP should have never been allowed to drill the deepest production well in history with such little oversight. We need to revolutionize how we as a world fuel our lives. Oil based energy destroys the environment in every step of the process.

Stop the spill!
