Welllllllllllllllllllll....fuck you! hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmph! :)

But, and I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings here, but why do people like you think the way they do, and act against the will of the majority of which I am a part? I'm just asking questions here, don'cha know.

:):):):):):):):):):):)

Define "will of the majority." You mean this week? Last year? Overall? Because there IS no "majority" at least when it comes to politics (or religion).

I think the sarcastically mocking satire of the OP went over your head ;)

Sorry, I thought you went serious on us for a change.

Liberal, and serious about it.

Christian, and serious about it.
Christianity and condemnation of tyranny are mutually exclusive.

The Christian Utopia is a theocratic dictatorship featuring total repression of all dissent. The Christian philosophy is naturally antagonistic to liberty and democracy.

So, too, is faith in the Christian god and democracy and the consent of the governed

1 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.
6 This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. 7 Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

Not true.

Many have and continue to pull random texts out from Scripture to support whatever ideology and/or argument they are for or against at the moment.

Can you tell me the context of that text? By that I mean, 1. What was going on at the time? 2. What was God's message to the people (then)? 3. What's God's message to us (today)?

Thanks.

Sorry, not sure what you mean? :) .. Believe in Whom? If we believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, then what else are we called?

It's not so much "whom" but rather "what".

Ok .. :) Well if you are not a Christian, not an Atheist, then it would be "other" or none of the above is fine.

I could put tons of different types of situations, but the main poll is to see how many Conservatives believe in Jesus, how many Liberals are Atheists.

Thanks :)
I answered Liberal Other - I like some of the alleged teachings of Jesus, but not as "God" or part of a godhead. Just a man with a few good ideas. As was Buddha, as was Lao Tzu, perhaps a few thousand others.
