Whenever someone starts an OP with something like ‘Dems say this’, or ‘Righteys think this’, they’ve officially conceded whatever argument they’re making to the useless broad brushing of an entire political party. All this does is pass time as no one with this mentality can logically consider themselves victorious.

Did the USMB become consumed with mind readers? What an amazing gift to be able to simultaneously know the thoughts of so many people!

Or, could it be the debate strategy of lazy partisan opportunists with no tangible or cogent arguments?

Bad Faith. That’s what I think it is. But what say you?

If you registered with the Democratic Party, you are a Democrat giving support to their goals and platform, and will be publicly recognized as such. If not, quit.

If you are not registered with the Democratic Party, but support their aims and platform, you will be lumped with the Democrats.

If you registered with the Republican Party, you are a Republican giving support to their goals and platform, and will be publicly recognized as such. If not, quit.

If you are not registered with the Republican Party, but support their aims and platform, you will be lumped with the Republicans.

If you are not registered with any political party, but rather are issue-driven, you will be lumped with a party dependent upon your stance on any given position you take on any given matter. This assessment can bounce back-and-forth continually like a ping-pong ball. Amaze your friends! Confound your enemies!

It's very simple, really.

We'll deal with party changelings next class! :auiqs.jpg:

All you've done here is state that you can recognize that there are two political parties.

Actually there are 34.

And what I said is that you will be lumped where your sentiments lie, whether you are a true believer at the altar or in the peanut gallery.

Guilt by association is a legitimate driving force, and broad brushing often has a basis in situational reality.

Did you mention all 34 political parties? Nope, no you didn't. Irrelevant.

And what I said is that you will be lumped where your sentiments lie, whether you are a true believer at the altar or in the peanut gallery.

So, you're going with a debate strategy of lazy partisan opportunists with no tangible or cogent arguments. Great, thanks!

I'm convinced you truly believe that, thank you.
