My, how things have changed. I recently watch a piece on FDR. The press was asked not to photograph the president on crutches because it would cast the president as being crippled and weak. Today you will find very few pictures of FDR on crutches.

I find it amazing that people can claim to be patriotic yet harbor such hate for their government and their leaders. I think we forget sometimes that our president, Obama, Bush, Clinton, or whoever represents our country to the world. We can't throw shit at our president and our government without some of it rubbing off on us.

I don't recall disagreeing with you very often, but I have to disagree with that last paragraph. Our leaders (not the government, but leaders) have become corrupted. Washington is corrupted by power and greed. It saddens me to say that, but that is how I feel. It is not a partisan feeling either, because I believe both parties are corrupt.

I love my country and the principles that it stands for, but I believe that things have begun to go terribly wrong and quite frankly, I am not so sure that there is anyway to fix those things.
