I can't play the audio I'm at work but that didn't look like a big deal, the safest thing for a cop to do is take someone to the ground. He didn't mase him or taze him or use the baton.

For a cop when someone you don't know puts his hands on you you can't assume his next move, just safely put him on the ground until you're sure of the situation.

Really can't tell from the video, but if you're a cop in control of an entrance to a building and someone who could be carrying any unknown object lurches away as if to flee or charge, I would expect them to take that person down, at least momentarily out of caution.

It's fairly clear that he was resisting the officer when the door swung open....People who resist and charge officers usually get wrestled to the ground.

He wasn't going to work. He was trying to get in after the capital was closed at night, to get his clothes. Again I ask, why didn't he wait till the capital was open the next morning to get them?
