What a country we've become. Fun times huh? :(

Psssss, we've been descending towards that state since the 60's, first by the drug war and now by the hidden enemy under every rock or in this case a wheel chair.

Screening passengers, not so much. Call me when they start searching folk off the streets at random.

TSA random highway checkpoints. They're already doing that.

How odd. Where? Oh, and the Border Checkpoints here in SD county closed thanks to Rep Daryl Issa....they were too inconvenient for North South commuter traffic.

The TSA along with several other Government agencies, are currently conducting random checkpoints all across the Nation. Have your papers on you. Just some friendly advice.

Don't like it? Don't fly.

Simple.

"You Americans are so foolish, you search for weapons at your airports, we search for TERRORISTS." Isreali security.

The current PC doctrine of no profiling is a joke.

No, the joke is thinking we can apply Isreali methods of screening to the US process of flying. It isn't feasible.

Our view on airport screening: Why Israel's air security model wouldn't work in the USA - USATODAY.com
To start with, Israel has one major international airport, Ben Gurion in Tel Aviv, which handles about 11 million passengers a year. The USA has 450 airports, through which 770 million people pass. Put another way, U.S. airports handle more passengers in a single week than Israel — a New Jersey-sized nation with few domestic flights — does in a year.

waaaa, they searched a kid who was gunna fly. such lack of freedom

Who they search isn't nearly as important as who they don't search. A muslim wearin a parka in August and carrying a backpack is automatically exempt.
