I know a thing or two about drones, and one of the most dangerous things about them is that the pilot has no peripheral vision when launching and landing one. They can be a serious hazard to navigation.

It's one thing when they are bumping and crashing into other aircraft in a war zone, quite another in civil airspace.

They're a very serious hazard in many ways.

Yes, the Big Brother aspect is a very dangerous one as well.
 
Where are those pro Patriot Act folks that kept telling us they don't care if their phones are wiretapped because they aren't doing anything wrong...

I think it's about saftey. But it could be for fast tracking the super spy network!!!!

It is about accelerating the integration of UAVs into American airspace. They are already there. Now the government is directing the FAA to find a way to increase the number of them.

What reasons can you think of for why we need 30,000 UAVs available to fly in our airspace?
