This is interesting because he is publicly differing from the Solidarity party over Romney.

In Gdansk, Romney was endorsed by former Polish President Lech Walesa, who led the Solidarity anti-government movement in the 1980s.

Walesa suggested the U.S. needs Romney's leadership to restore its standing in the world. He told Romney: "Be successful."

Lech would be one person I would love to have a conversation with over dinner. Man oh man, he took on the bear and won. Walesa is still a hero of mine.

Walesa is indeed a hero; But even heroes sometimes do things that are not so smart. Personally I think it's a mistake for foreign personalities to endorse a particular candidate. It's a US election.

Democrats will point this out as a Romney gaffe.

Poland has had no liking for obama since he stabbed them in the back.

You probably wouldn't be saying that had he was kind to Obama.

In any case..he was a big Union man..and a populist. He is an incredibly brave person and worthy of admiration.

Yep. And Walesa wouldn't meet with Obama either. Remember this?

Lech Walesa snubs Obama on Poland trip

    He had good reason.
