Poker Question

I played poker over Labor Day weekend while with friends who live near the Suwannee; the game was four hands each, first card dealt face up, maximum five cards per hand. Each player picked the top card of the deck and played as best possible.

My question is, what is the name of this kind of poker? All I can find is "four hand poker". My friend said it was the only kind she knew, prior to this I had played only five card stud. An interesting game.

Great name but I was hoping for the actual term used prior to our 20+ rounds, I loved it. (Torrential rain kept us inside from 2:00 pm on Labor Day; the Suwannee was already at flood stage in some places due to more than the usual North Florida summer thunderstorms, Debby AND Isaac)
