-The need to increase defense spending significantly if we are to carry out our global responsibilities today and modernize our armed forces for the future.

This also drives the economy. Clinton soared high on an economy built on Reagan's military escalation policy. When Clinton destroyed it, the economy tanked.

-The need to strengthen our ties to democratic allies and to challenge regimes hostile to our interests and values.

Global relationships get things done. FDR taught us that.

-The need to promote the cause of political and economic freedom abroad.

Nation building is what drags the rest of the world into the current century and promotes Global economic growth. The problem is that we seem to only know how to do this militarily.

-The need to accept responsibility for America's unique role in preserving and extending an international order friendly to our security, our prosperity, and our principles.

Since we became a world power the rest of the world has looked to us for leadership. This is fact.

PNAC had good goals. Too bad that they ignored them.
