Pledge your loyalty to the US government on May 1st.

More's the pity that you don't understand the roots of your faith.

I am a political atheist, I accept nothing on faith when humans are in charge.
political atheist my ass. YOu spout nothing but communist bullshit till the cows come home.

Your definition of "communist" is faulty. Refrain from future use of the word until you can recheck its definition for the correct usage.

This is a message board, I have no fear T is coming to "get" me.

Putting that aside.....what presidents in "This" country are in the habit of celebrating a communist holiday???

It was started by the VFW to COUNTER the Soviet May Day, and here is a list of some of the Presidents who have issued proclamations, I have posted a few:

In 2007 President George W. Bush issued an official proclamation of the May 1, 2007 Loyalty Day in accordance with the 1958 Congressional declaration,[7] as have many of his predecessors:
Bill Clinton, proclamation 6556 (May 1, 1993) [8]
George H. W. Bush, proclamation 5962 (April 28, 1989) [9]
Ronald Reagan, proclamation 4836 (April 14, 1981) [10]
Jimmy Carter, proclamation 4493 (March 23, 1977) [11]
Gerald Ford, proclamation 4354 (March 4, 1975) [12]
John F. Kennedy, proclamation 3528 (April 18, 1963) [13]

Sooooooo you say they countered it.....not celebrated it.

Where are all the presidents that celebrated a communist holiday?

Where are all the presidents that celebrated a communist holiday?

The list is above; NOT a Federal holiday. Proclamations are issued, and short speeches. No "celebration"; the effort to change Labor Day to May 1 failed in the 1930's I believe.

And exactly how would your policies be different if you were a communist?

How would your policies differ from from those of the extreme right of military dictators and third-world oligarchs? It's all a matter of degree. I will admit that I am center-left but to be lumped in with the extremes of leftist authoritarianism is as insulting to me as being called a Nazi. In fact, breaking Godwin's law is the only equivalent counter-punch to being called a communist.
oooOOooo someone broke Godwin's law! As if that's a defense or excuse for communism to see the obvious relation between the two and prevent it from being called out.

Fail

Godwin's law was invented by a left-winger to protect them from intelligent people who couldn't fail to note the obvious: that most of the policies supported by liberals are indistinguishable from the policies supported by the Nazis.

I checked, I never wrote CELEBRATE, proclamations are issued, it appears on some calendars. Articles are written on occasion.

This line of discussion centered on which presidents were in the habit of celebrating a communist holiday.

What I see is proclamations countering it. Countering means to me opposition, not celebrating.

As I posted, I do not know who wrote the communist May Day was celebrated, I also ASKED WHAT IS THE LINK TO UNIONS. Bios of Eisenhower do reference his proclamations.

Note my post #38; occupied referenced socialism I believe.

What does THIS have to do with UNIONS?

I thought we were indistinguishable from commies, make up your mind.

Most of the big unions (and Democrats) have been taken over by communists.

That's the link to Mayday.

Yes those incessant calls for nationalizing all industries and abolishing private property by the unions and democrats are getting pretty annoying.

Until the UNIONS are used and the Statist succeeds...?

The UNIONS will be disbanded and forbidden...just as they were under Communist rule...and nazi/Fascist Rule...

TOOLS to be used and thrown away.

What does THIS have to do with UNIONS?

Socialism.....unions.....communists........getting closer and closer to being the same thing.

The only difference between socialism and communism is the way they take power.

Communism through violence.

Unions like the SEIU and ACORN use violence and mob-rule to get what they want.
