Thanks for OP video I hadn't seen before. Land grant was a very common way to establish early America. The government did the Louisiana Purchase, that mean the Government held fresh land, I suppose? And even the Napoleonic Exiles were given charter land grant for far portions of Alabama. The Midwest had a 7 year squatter law, it became your property as well.

King was not colorblind. And King held whites accountable for their continuing racism until he was murdered. But to some whites here at USMB, if we hold whites accountable for continuing racism we are not adhering to Kings belief based on one sentence in a speech they use to try shutting us up because we call out their racism.

King was not a conservative republican and he certainly would not be a republican today. If King had adhered to the things the racists who are white in this forum claim, his children would support the republican party. We as blacks know this. There are whites here who if you have them tell it, he'd be a Trump supporting member of the Freedom Caucus.

MLK Jr injected a religious pilgrimage into the march between Selma and a Baptist church they preserve to this day,a Baptist church right in front of the Montgomery Capitol for whatever reason. Why it may be the only viable tourist site on location. Most of the "gains of racial equality" are cloaked in a religious superiority that we could avoid, say "the New Civil Rights Movement" TedTalks with Richard Thompson Ford for example.
MLK Jr was tracked around with his affairs , mixed messages, and associations with Gandhi, and shall we say contacts with the Malcolm X black Muslim crowd, so the farce seems pretty intense.

This act gave FREE land to whites to settle in what is now Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and parts of Wyoming and Montana. This land was given away from 1850 unil 1854. In 1854 the government decided to charge 1.25 per acre. The law expired in 1855.

I see what you're saying. You think that MLK was a racist. But you are wrong. King didn't hold whites responsible for racism, nor did he claim that whites as a whole were racist.
