My wife (TrinityPower) lost her father moments ago to cancer. For those of you who have faith (whether you be Christian, Buddhist, Jewish, Muslim, whatever) I ask that you offer a prayer for his peace and his rest...and for the support and comfort of his family.

For those who are not believers, I respectfully ask you not to start a religious debate on this thread. It's not the place or time for such things.

Thank you

Condolences.

I don't pray but I wish you and yours well, and hope the process is as easy as it can be.

Thank you. Well wishes without prayers are gladly accepted and graciously received.

Oh my. I am so sorry to hear that your father in law has passed away. I know that even in those of us who believe that our loved one has gone to live in Our Father's House, the pain of loss is close to the bone and cuts one's soul like a knife at this moment in time.

I hope this Irish bereavement poem brings some comfort in this most darkest hour of your wife's loss of her father.

For Trinity.

I'M STILL HERE

Trinity, please don't mourn for me I'm still here, though you don't see. I'm right by your side each night and day and within your heart I long to stay. My body is gone but I'm always near. I'm everything you feel, see or hear.

My spirit is free, but I'll never depart as long as you keep me alive in your heart. I'll never wander out of your sight- I'm the brightest star on a summer night. I'll never be beyond your reach- I'm the warm moist sand when you're at the beach.

I'm the colorful leaves when fall comes around and the pure white snow that blankets the ground. I'm the beautiful flowers of which you're so fond, The clear cool water in a quiet pond. I'm the first bright blossom you'll see in the spring,

The first warm raindrop that April will bring. I'm the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine, and you'll see that the face in the moon is mine. When you start thinking there's no one to love you, you can talk to me through the Lord above you.

I'll whisper my answer through the leaves on the trees, and you'll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze. I'm the hot salty tears that flow when you weep and the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep.

I'm the smile you see on a baby's face. Just look for me, Trinity, I'm everyplace.

yours,
td

Blue Phantom, Trinity Power and all the loved ones who lost her father are on my prayer list and you, too. I'm so sorry for your family's loss.
