planned parenthood donations up 500% since the social cons latest, failed crusade

And why is it that Big Government Socialists/Progressives only care about rights and the Constitution when it comes to killing Babies? Where are they the rest of the time? Seems pretty disingenuous and a bit bizarre to only pretend to care about rights and the Constitution when it comes to killing Babies. Maybe Big Government Socialists/Progressives should care about that all the time? Just a suggestion anyway.

I'd like one of the PP supporters to address the following:

PP appears to be quite well able to secure financial support from voluntary donations. Why do you feel it necessary to compel others who do not support PP to finance it via their taxes? Do you believe that your choices are only valid when backed up by the Federal Government?

you dont get to pick and choose where your taxes go.

At a time when services for the poor and disabled are being cut, it's seems stupid to spend tax money on an organization whose donations have gone up 500%.

seems stupider to keep subsidizing agriculture and oil companies.

until those things are cut, stop whining just because you want a rightwingnut country.

That is stupid also. I am whining because caregiving hours for my son have been cut 4 times. One disabled man in a wheelchair just had all his hours cut. He has legs that need constant care or they get infected...now he's going to be taking trips to the emergency room which will cost us taxpayers even more money, how stupid can you get?

I sincerely doubt the rightwing nuts are in favor of providing more care to the disabled as I am....try using logic next time.

I don't think there is anything dumber than giving tax money to a private non profit organizations whose donations have gone up 500% in a time when everything else is being cut.

And then take whatever answer you might garner, and apply it to Welfare, or a myriad of entitlements...that American Taxpayers have to shoulder the burden...

Good maybe now they won't need as much taxpayer money.

I thought you dimmies say that private funding never works.

i was waiting for this response (its the correct one), but its still fun to rip on social conservatives and their failed quests to run people's lives

I'm not a social conservative and I'm absolutely opposed to tax dollars funding Planned Parenthood. It's not my responsibility to pay for women's health services. They can pay for their own just like I pay for my own.

the money that goes to PP is minuscule, social cons just wanted to make their version of jesus happy, it completely detracted from the actual budget debate and had no place

The dollar amount is of no consequence. What the left fails to understand is the word 'principle'. It's not an overly difficult concept, but it appears very few of the whining left can grasp it. It is not the subject matter, it is not the responsibility of the taxpayer to fund it.

I have no objection to the work of PP, but it should not - and clearly does not need to be - funded by taxes. You want it, you pay for it.

Actually, I do, it is called representative democracy. If I don't like where my tax money is going I get to annoy the idiots that spend it in places I don't like.

I want them all cut, so I get to complain about the stuff you hate and the stuff you like.

If you had a daughter you could complain about it being a woman's health issue.

True. The Constitution is supposed to be the boundary marker for that kind of thing.

I thought you dimmies say that private funding never works.

You're thinking of the rightwingers who want vouchers from the government to pay for their kids' private school education.

Actually the vouchers typically go to poor inner city black kids who in all likelihood are not Republicans.

That aside, I do side with you in opposing vouchers.

The government shouldn't be subsidizing anything.
