And in actuality, pipelines are statistically the safest as well as the least expensive overall method to transport the oil from where it is, to where it needs to be.

The REAL story with opposition to the Keystone pipeline was that it was orchestrated by Socialist Billionaire Warren Buffett. Mr. Buffett owns the trains and trucks that were transporting the Texas Tea across the fruited plain. The pipeline cut Buffett out of the loop. Actually, it was a replay of the first oil pipelines back in the day. JD Rockefeller felt he was being taken to the cleaners by the Vanderbilts and other railroad tycoons to transport his black gold, so he built the first pipelines to knock them out of the loop.

You, like most, always miss the point. This is about innocent native Americans and the contamination of their water that is probably getting into the Ogallala aquifer, or could get there. Where is the back up plan for their well being, when they don't get a penny from these man made disasters? There is none. And that's what the Republican Keystone pipeline is all about. Oil! Anything "could" happen, I guess oil "could" get into an aquifer.

But you can have leaks and spills from trucks or trains or ocean vessels as well. We should deal with the cleanup in the event that it happens. Right now, I would have no problem living in the High Plains area of the country and drinking the water there. And I don't foresee that situation changing.

And the money that the Libs wasted on Solyndra whose owners scooted off with millions instead of creating jobs.
