You expected more from the "Party of NO" ???

Um, it looks to me like they said no to the big insurance corporations. Some of whom; come to think of it; probably were just bailed out using our money. But never fear the Democrats made sure that Big insurance will have millions of new customers, at least for a while. Until they figure out how to get single payer or some other means of total control.

They said no to Big Insurance?

Then why all the rhetoric about a Government takeover of insurance?

Watch and see. It's all in the planning, Hopefully we will prevent it. But that will be another battle another day.

If you read the proposed bills they require PRIVATE insurance

Nice try though

Is there anywhere in either bill that guarantees the survival of PRIVATE insurance?

No. Nor should there be. What is your real point in asking this question?

My point is: many people are believing what ever the congress tells them; if it isn't in writing, it isn't so (they are lying to you, so they can subjugate the entire population, and by the time the public realizes it, it will be really ugly).
This congress is not interested in fixing healthcare, they just want access to the money that is spent on healthcare. Some think tank told them, they can tax peoples' health and the people will allow it. They bill is all about that. Why else would you start paying for something 4 years before you could use the product? Why doesn't it give healthcare coverage to everyone (according to some congressmen)? Why doesn't it containg tort reform (that is probably the number one reason healthcare costs are so high)?

Sorry, I got sidetracked. If the gov is making it harder for the insurance companies to provide care at "a profit", private companies will go out of business. That would leave one alternative: the gov. When that happens, what good are any of the promises made by congress, they will have the power to do whatever they want and people will submit because those they love need healthcare (and there will be no other place to go). The result: our gov will be our rulers, not our representatives.

You know.......there's really nothing wrong with profit at all.

But profiting on the backs of the country, while INCREASING the rate of profit, and then dropping people who are "economically unviable"?

That's actually wrong.

You expected more from the "Party of NO" ???

What it means is you can't blame all of the turmoil on them.

They're out of the picture so the problem is between Democrats because they have the votes to pass it without one single vote from the GOP.

Read it and weep.

Gee...

Do you think they will do it without the blessing of the GOP??

I don't think they care what the GOP thinks. They scurry around behind closed doors writing their bills and putting in their earmarks and so-on and never let the bill see the light of day till they're ready to vote on it.

The only thing that seems to matter is which Dem is smart enough to hold out so they can exempt their state from the harsh restrictions their bills will impose on the rest of us.
