PHOTOS WILL ENDANGER TROOPS?

What do we think terrorist are? A bunch of stupids? Whether they see photos or not they can use their imagination just as we do when we are talking about water boarding, abuse, torture, rape and murder. Linsey Graham say they show rape and murder. You do not have to have a picture to know what is going on. We are all talking about it and it must be really bad if they will not release them. And if we do not prosecute those who are responsible for these atrocities we are sending a message to terrorist that will anger them even more and cause more attacks on our troops.

We have to investigate and prosecute and send the message what we stand for no matter. If the photos does not show torture, then release them.

"Photos will endanger troops" tell us they are torture. Abuse and torture may lead to more attacks but will not lead to them resorting to torture because it is not terrorist style. They choose beheading which is quick and painless because they do not take prisoner.

Where I am a judge has the right to refuse to allow gruesome photographs of a crime scene to go to the jury lest they interfere with their impartial judgement on the known facts and prejudice the jury against the defendant. The worry is emotions will be stirred by the photos. Same thing here I'd think. Why release them and stir shit up again?

LilOlLady's response if it was decided that the photos would be released...

PHOTO RELEASE POLITICAL PROPAGANDA OF THE LEFT!

Obama's decision to release the photos is just a political stunt concocted by the liberals to discredit the Bush administrations policy of enhanced interrogation, a policy which saved millions, if not hundreds of millions, or even trillions, of lives!

This tactic is a typical leftist, socialist, communist, muslim way of gathering votes of the illegals and gays.

No, the photos would be used as terrorist propaganda, saying "Look at the infidel Americans! They torture your Muslim brothers!"

Then before you know it al-Qaeda brainwashes more people into joining their network which will in turn mean more terrorists that will in turn attack our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

As Diuretic correctly noted, such photographs provoke emotions. In this case, anti-American emotions which would translate into violence.
