Why did the conditions get so bad in New Orleans? Why didn't the idiot Mayor and Governor get their people out? Why didn't the imbeciles of New Orleans have stockpiles of food and water in areas that would be used as shelters? They knew this was coming a week in advance, the Mayor left town. Why didn't the Governor take the help that was offered to her personally, from The President?

I would say freezing floods are on par with warm flooding in a place that should have been evacuated. The people dealing with the freezing floods are helping each other out and not waiting on the government to rescue them........ that would be one huge difference. They certainly aren't getting any Federal help except for Coast Guard.

Standard bullshit bigot claims, pathetic....... really. Houston and Galveston were devastated by Ike, over a hundred miles from the coast, we dealt with it.

As much as everyone brings up Katrina's name, it was the flooding that devastated New Orleans, not the actual storm. What is happening in these photographs is also flooding, the first major disaster in the Osammabamma Presidency........... it is comparable. Both groups of citizens knew that disaster was coming, one group whined in a giant arena preying on each other....... this group worked very hard to save what is theirs and to help their neighbor do the same, incredible contrast.

What is the President doing? Vacationing in Europe and giving inappropriate gifts to the Queen of England. That's alright, these Americans didn't need or want him there.
