This is a media-culture parody inspired by The Truman Show.

Alas was a vigilante (pictured below on right) chasing a maniacal 'Leatherface-copycat' in California. All Alas cared about was justice, and he was a vigilante, since he didn't care about the bureaucracy of policemen. He just wanted to catch this super-psycho. Alas was the perfect example of an 'American hippie.' However, he'd have to be real careful, since this particular psycho was no bunny.

Americans were fascinated by media, Facebook, celebrities TrumpUSA, Wall Street, and all kinds of brain-candy. It was the Era of Toys after all. The Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation was devoted to environmentalism-consciousness in this age of high consumerism (e.g., eBay, eTrade, esurance, etc.). However, not all celebrities like Leo were involved in social outreach or politically-conscious programs. That's why the Leatherface-copycat Alas was chasing was making the fanatical message that he was making --- "America stinks."

Aristocrats in Europe were still tailoring ball-gowns for kings and queens, though the memory of Princess Diana paparazzi (UK) had many Europeans thinking fondly about America's rendition of social festivity (i.e., Hollywood). Sure, Europeans still thought more about America's great schools (i.e., the Ivy League), but they also thought more fondly about Burger King, Facebook, and MTV. Welcome to the age of vanity...

Alas decided to pull off a magic-trick. He started blogging on the Internet, "If you're feeling completely psychotic about consumerism, go to a toy-store and purchase water-guns and use them to shoot water at trees in Washington, D.C. and wait for a journalist/news-reporter to photograph you for the evening news when he discovers you're shooting water at trees for an eco-protest against TrumpUSA!" Alas implied that the 'camera-consciousness' of the modern world ironically created 'creative' opportunities to be politically-conscious. However, the Leatherface-copycat psycho didn't care about Alas's 'imagination.' All he wanted to do was be a terrorist.

Who would win this game? The Americana-idealist (e.g., Alas) or legions of anti-civilization psychos/terrorists who simply believed mischief was more 'representative' than passion? Only President Donald Trump knew for sure...
