    First of all - congrats to the guy.

    He dominated/coasted through 8 innings.

    But you knew the 9th wouldn't be easy - NEVER IS.

    Went to 3 balls in the pitch count twice - and twice hitters swung at ball 4.

    Incl the last out with the checked-swing (the right call by the home plate ump IMO)

    Oh yes -and IT WAS against the Mariners.

    That was great...did you know he was drafted, like 2 spots after Justin Verlander?

    Baseball drafts are about as hit or miss as they come. Wonder if this guy is going to last.

    Rare goings-on at Safeco this season.
