Petition Text: In the Spirit of Democracy, Independence and Authentic Progressivism, the People of the United States remain to be skeptical on America's Future. There have been program initiatives for many years to better our children's circumstances from the tyranny of the Teachers' Unions. In all disrespect, We the People are frustrated with these program initiatives because quite frankly, they do not work. There have been an increase of funding towards this system but it failed to improve our circumstance as well, this is due to the nature of the contracts by the Teachers' Unions. Greed. We the People hereby petition the Obama Administration to take full initiative in eliminating such unions from this public service, namely "Public Education".

Sign the Petition: http://wh.gov/Tu2

Why?

  1. Public Education is a Public Service Career.
  2. Public Education Receives Thousands to Millions of Dollars on a Monthly Basis.
  3. Program Initiatives like "Race to the Top" or "No Child Left Behind" Don't Work.
  4. Teachers' Benefits are Extraodinary Because It's State (Federal) Owned.

Just who are you going to get to teach the kids when you make the job pay less than a Micky Ds job?

First, there needs to be laws where teachers get paid at least $40,000 a year (max would be $48,000 for a teacher).
School staff should be paid atleast $35,000 a year.
Principals should get no less than $50,000 a year and no more than $52,000 a year.
Anyone on the school board/superintendent/etc should make no more than $60,000 a year.

States need education benchmarks that all counties need to follow (such as all algebra 1 classes should know how to do certain things or they don't pass, algebra 2 classes need to know how to do more advanced things or they dont pass, etc.)

All counties should all follow an education platform such as pearson education and make use of online platforms that colleges use such as angel learning for help on certain things that their teacher can assist them with and do homework online, etc.

Education needs strict structure on what needs to be learned.
Students need the freedom to learn and complete work creatively such as working together as a class to divide an assignment so they get done faster, etc. (but students will be required to be tested on all benchmarks learned each education quarter)

Schools need 5 hour days, 5 days a week so more funding can go to extracurricular activities so students can GET INVOLVED, stay out of trouble, and be productive/successful!
