This is a capitalism-yarn inspired by the film Capitalism: A Love Story.

Peter Pan dreamt of great things such as seeing beautiful objects and places and flying around with his friends and inspiring them to acts of great daring and creative courage. However, when he refused to marry Tinkerbell (his trusted tiny fairy-girl friend) and later fell in love with her, he realized he missed the greatest opportunity of his life. Peter Pan spent the rest of his life in deep depression, pondering not about the virtues of optimism but the dead-end realism associated with capitalism and profiteers.

Peter Pan's nemesis Captain Hook remarked, "The boy has become a plain society critic, a Machiavellian nay-sayer of capitalist thought." Peter Pan would not be moved, because he knew that capitalism hid a terrible 'dominion' --- an abysmal pit of leviathan-like motion where dark energies vied for mastery over the spirits of fortune and sloth. Peter even reasoned that this 'pit' was 'guarded' by a fearsome and giant alligator named Croc who signified the failure of the imagination when faced with the basic 'urge' to profit from the failures of others.

Captain Hook realized that capitalism would lose a true 'defender' since Peter Pan was too dismayed by the loss of Tinkerbell's affections to champion any capitalist state with sufficient 'child-like enthusiasm.' So Hook set his sights on Chinatown, San Francisco, determined to sail into the harbor on his 'ghost ship' and kidnap children who would otherwise eagerly await delicious Chinese cuisine at one of the many colorful restaurants in the commercially-symbolic ethnic business district. However, Peter Pan did indeed come in to thwart Hook and drew the giant alligator (Croc) to shoo Hook back to his own domain. Peter then looked up at the sky and said, "I will someday charm Tinkerbell."
