I'm not a Romney fan, and to be honest, given how speculation can become a monster all on it's own, I'd rather him release his returns just to take it off the table. I think most people who would buy into this populist BS are fairly ignorant of taxes and finance, and Romney ought not spend his time trying to explain hedge funds and sovereign risk and all that to a voting bloc that largely sees him as Daddy Warbucks, but still.
