EL PASO (February 24, 2009)--Gov. Rick Perry is asking U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to send resources and "1,000 more troops" to the Texas border.

The call for help, during Perry's stop Tuesday in El Paso, came as drug cartel-related violence continues to mount in northern Mexico.

Perry spoke with reporters after meeting with state, local, and federal authorities at the Chamizal National Monument, just across the Rio Grande from Ciudad Juarez, Mexico

scarey stuff!

I think the Obama administration is waiting for Mexico to fail and the waves of refugees to cross the border (which is a distinct possibility). This will do two things for Obama and the Democrats:
1. Obama will be seen as kind and caring world leader to accept them all.
2. The refugees will be given legal status, then citizenship and vote for Democrats.

I don't see a scenario where Obama actually secures our borders anywhere.

Does anyone think he will get them? Not me.

whats going to have to happen is they will Waite until the cartels kill someone on this side of the border......as usual just like putting in a stop sign.....someone will have to die first....
