So here we have better then 50% unemployment and apparently climbing throughout all states and an Administration that clearly could care less about that fact.

This same administration seems to think it can create all these wonderfully monstrous entitlement programs as well as give loans to foreign nations amongst other things.

My question to you who support this administration and party is pretty simple; who’s going to pay for all of this? We’re currently have a 15 trillion dollar deficit and its climbing so it’s pretty clear there is no surplus to pay for all these wonderfully monstrous entitlement programs loans and so on… So what’s the plan to pay for this seeing as how there are far fewer people paying taxes and with more and more business closing their doors each day……what’s the plan man because what we have now isn’t going to work.

Opps forgot the link

Robert is quickly establishing himself as the king of made up "facts". Who can blame him when his heroes like John Kyl are doing the same thing.

Oh, I see now why the confusion... He references an article that counts the entire population including retired people, non-working people, and children.

"Only 45.4% of Americans had jobs in 2010, the lowest rate since 1983 and down from a peak of 49.3% in 2000. Last year, just 66.8% of men had jobs, the lowest on record..."

Anyway, Robert your question is THE $15 Trillion dollar question... :dunno:

Do you carry a concealed weps permit for that 20-pound black dildo you haul around with you all the time?

I'm going to assume this is what the OP was referring to.

Only 45.4% of Americans had jobs in 2010, the lowest rate since 1983 and down from a peak of 49.3% in 2000. Last year, just 66.8% of men had jobs, the lowest on record.

Toddlers and old people should be working goddammit. :dunno:

The article is talking about percent of the population that is working. However, they are including children, prisoners, people in mental institutes etc. and they're not including the self-employed or military.

Labor Force statistics don't use the total population because including people who have restrictions on working or changing jobs muddies the picture, so BLS and Census use the Adult Civilian Non-Institutional Population: Those 16 years and older not in prison, the military, or mental or other long term health care. Using the Adult Civilian Non-Institutional Population, for 2010, the annual average Employment to Population ratio was 58.5% Only West Virginia had an Emp-Pop ration <50% (48.8%)

Going further, there is a differnence between "does not have a job" and "unemployed." Full time students, retirees, stay-at-home spouses don't have jobs, but they're not unemployed. Of the average 98,766,000 people not working in 2010, average unemployment (actively looking for work) was 14,825,000 (which is still very bad). There were a further 6,059,000 who said they wanted to work and 2,487,000 of them were able to accept a job if offered and had looked for work in the last year.

So of the 98,766,000 not working, most of them, 77,882,000, said they don't want a job.
