In a famous sidewalk interview in front of the White House, Keynes said that he didnt expect to find the president of the United States so economically illiterate. As Keynes feared, in 1937-38 came the Roosevelt Recession, what we would now call a double-dip recession. Lesson learned, FDR resumed spending.
