Losing a job can be as devastating as losing a family member and both can cause one to turn to prayer. There were people who took their lives over losing a jobs. My brother did when he lost his business to illegal aliens bidding for contracts below what he could afford and he lost everything and finally took his life. These parents is going to need their god as they may not have before.
