Pentagon report: Obama admin fails to set up voting offices on bases

The article has a typo. It says:

Pentagon officials have estimated costs would exceed $15-20 per year to establish the voting-assistance offices.

The Pentagon report says it costs $15-20 million per year.

It also says the MOVE Act did not provide this funding.

We concluded the Services had not
established all the IVAOs as intended by the
MOVE Act because, among other issues, the
funding was not available. Officials pointed
out the law did not authorize DoD additional
funding for this initiative and estimated
IVAO costs could exceed $15-20 million per
year.

So you can blame...anyone? Anyone?

That's right! Congress!

Which was a Democratic Congress in 2009.

But Mr. Eversole said Congress had appropriated $75 million over the past three years for military voter assistance efforts.

Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment Act - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

However, implementation of the act has been spotty, with only 15 states having fully implemented it. In California, only 15 of its 58 counties failed to comply with the law, resulting in military absentee ballots not being counted as they were received too late. Yet, 90 percent of absentee ballots sent to American civilians living abroad are returned and counted, compared to 2/3rds of absentee ballots mailed by overseas military personnel.[2]
Just coincidence, I'm sure.

Right, USMB lefties?

I thought Michelle Obama's pet project was her deep devotion to our
Men and women in the armed service.

Maybe Michelle's concern is only there when the cameras are turned on.

Well I don't think that the Democrat party will be too interested in this.
They have bigger things on their mind.
Like making sure that Sandra Fluke has plenty of free birth control.

Meanwhile, ACORN is happily spending the tax payer money while they go out and look for potential Dem voters on park benches and under rocks.

For Dem voters, it's ACORN being sent to help and bus them to the polls. For Repub voters, it's vote if you can they won't lift a finger to make it easier. The military has been disenfranchised for years by Dems. Absentee ballots were always sent too late, if at all, and many simply could not get them back by the deadline. It's staggering how many absentee ballots have been thrown out over the years because they weren't returned by the deadline. Hard to do when you don't receive them by the deadline. Military members, historically, vote Republican, so the Dems don't have time to help them out.

Look at the people they chose for their convention:
Communists
Socialists
marxists
Muslims
Unions
Beggars, like Fluke
Lying idiots, like Elizabeth Warren
An Illegal Alien
Registered Democrat Minorities allowed, but only with photo ID just to get in the area of the convention.

Those are the people the Dems represent. If you're not one of the above, then Obama isn't there to help you.

Shame that ACORN doesn't recognize the importance of our military members enough to give them a hand. Many are deployed overseas and could use a little help in voting. Not worth the effort, I guess. If they were traditionally Democrats, we know it would be way different.
