Pennsylvania voter ID law blocked for November election

Republicans want to deny Americans their most fundament right.

The right to vote!
No, they want to deny identity thieves, dead people and fraud from stealing elections, and this if somehow it is that this is the case for which it has been now being accused of by the dems and the repubs, so they are just trying to make sure for all, that it isn't the case by strengthening the laws a bit more. What it did though, is raise the heads of those who may feel that they need unchecked freedom in order for fraud and stuff to then be injected somewhere somehow, because they all went to squirming like snakes when heard that America was wanting the elections to be more fair for all, and this through better requirments as needed, especially for those who are proud to be Americans, and are willing to do what is right to make these elections more honest and fair or all.

Just how many elections have been "stolen"? Just curious.....you got numbers? an official impartial estimate? Educated guess? Shot in the dark?

No? Didn't think so.
I don't know, why don't you go and ask the whining Al Gore who claimed that his chances were stolen, then after the recount and hanging chads and other idiocy that went on, he officially lost as it showed anyway. Pay back is bad isn't it ? Like I said the dems and the repubs can use this tactic equally, but I think the dems use it more.

Just announced on TV.
If there was any confusion as to if the GOP's voter id laws are unconstitutional and done purposely to suppress poor people's votes, there is no longer any question. It isn't debatable. The courts have decided.

A federal appeals court has ruled that a Texas voter ID law has a discriminatory effect on minority voters. A district court had found not only that the law discriminated, but that it was intentionally designed to do so.

Part of that has to do with the type of photo IDs the Legislature designated as legitimate. For example, military IDs and concealed handgun carry permits — they're lawful to vote. But state employee photo IDs and university photo IDs are not. So the Legislature approved ID cards that were more likely to be held by white Republican voters and excluded IDs that were more likely to be held by minority Democrats.

And you’ve been wrong all along. The Texas law first took effect in 2011; a judge's order later struck it down, but that order has been on hold since October of 2014. Last summer the 5th Circuit ruled unanimously that the law does not equate to a "poll tax" but does discriminate against minority voters.
