Pennsylvania Supreme Court rules state congressional map unconstitutional

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court on Monday ruled that the state’s congressional map is the result of gerrymandering, to the point that it violates the state constitution.

The court ordered that the state must draw a new congressional map ahead of the 2018 midterms, according to multiple reports. The decision is a major victory for Democrats, who argued the map had been gerrymandered to benefit Republicans.

Republicans redrew the state’s map in 2011. The state’s general assembly must submit a new map to the governor for consideration by Feb. 9, according to the court order.Pennsylvania Supreme Court rules state congressional map unconstitutional

 More Bad news today in the courts. For the DOPers that Control the reluctant GOP.
Seems the Great Douche should not Piss-off Judges.
I wonder what the Great Douche will Twitler about this one?
As the Great Douche won it with very few votes.

The problem with these celebrations is that there is no other option than the GOP.

Any Gerrymandering should be redrawn everywhere.

But ask the people who vote a question?

'Hey! Do you know about Gerrymandering.

99% of the times, the answer will be. That a 'Jigsaw Puzzle' Game! Right? .

if that were true, there wouldn't be more registered democrats than registered republican....

Overall, 48% of all registered voters identify as Democrats or lean Democratic compared with 44% who identify as Republican or lean toward the GOP.

While partisan preferences among all voters are narrowly split, there are wide gaps in leanings among demographic groups. There are fundamental differences in how men and women, young and old, whites, blacks and Hispanics describe their partisan leanings. In many cases, persistent differences have grown wider in recent years

do you do anything all day besides troll the interwebs?

I am pleased a punch by this ruling. We have some awfully drawn districts in the Commonwealth and this will have a major impact on the mid-term elections.

It's about time the courts began coming down on this. Gerrymandering has to stop. Pennsylvania has a few bad ones

Though I fail to see how the OP could possibly blame this on Trump. What a moron.

There are lots of GOP Judges that are turning on the DOPers BS Games.
If only 38% of the DOPer base is still with the Great Douche NOW! Means the
other 62% of the unwilling, GOP Base that did vote Douche, now understand
their ERROR of voting Douche! .And some STUPID IND's who voted Douche
are against the Great Douche now, as well. See how this works.

All Gerrymandering must be redrawn everywhere,

This was the horseshit map the PA Senate Democrats wanted in 2011:

The GOP held the House, Senate, and, Governor’s chair at the time, so it was never going to be implemented. Nevertheless, it was an absurd map.

Well, The current PA districts map shows 4-5 GOP districts held.with an under +R3 to 5% PVI voted
for both HRC and Obama. I feel the Great Douche effects will adjust these/ a few held GOP seats.

Yeah, Pennsylvania is ridiculous. Illinois and Maryland are two more that are really bad

North Carolina is pretty bad as well, but they've been ordered to redraw the map by a federal judge.
