[Just another reason why we should do away with tips and put their salary into the price of the meal. Everybody wins including the IRS.

Best solution is for people to stay out of restaurants. I haven't been to one in maybe 8 years. Not even a fast food joint.

If their salary was put into the price of the meals, wouldn't you feel rather ripped off if their service was lousy? I would. Depending on where you live and what kind of place you are at, their salary couldn't make the food a whole lot more expensive anyways. I feel bad for those in my area because they actually only get $2.13 an hour which is why never leave them just a dollar like some people do. I already know of one person who does. I always try to leave my waiter person at least $3.00, but to me, they deserve every penny that they get because they are always good to me so I try to give them what I can and I give it to them personally so that it isn't stolen from them by anyone.
