It's reall very simple:

No vaccines = children getting potentially fatal things like polio, measles, and HPV.

Vaccines = Every hundred thousand innoculations or so someone has a bad reaction or dies. But compared to the alternative, it's simple numbers. With innoculations, there's less, without, there's more.

Yes- parents can make decisions that potentially risk their own children's health- but how can anyone rationalize not doing something, knowing that not vaccinating could possibly kill some other persons baby?

Viruses constantly mutate. If enough people are not vaccinated and the disease has a vector in which to spread and reproduce, it can mutate into a strain resistant to the vaccine, which is why anti-vanti-vaxxer morons threaten the entire public, not just their incredibly unlucky children.

"Herd Immunity" is a myth. If it were real then the vaccinations I received MORE than 20 years ago would no longer be effective (if they were ever effective at all) and I'd have had all sorts of fun diseases by now.

But of course I've only contracted Cancer which no one here can tell me what vaccine I should have taken to prevent it.

Just as we don't extend adult rights and priviledges to minors, we shouldn't deny minors things like vaccines because their ignorant parents say so. We don't let parents go scot free refusing medical treatments and their kids then die. We don't let parents opt out of public school just cuz' (homeschooling's an option but regulated.) So why wouldn't vaccines work the way everything else does when it comes to children?

If the arguement is vaccines aren't 100% safe, that's true. But the likelyhood of getting some disease that kills you is gonna be a helluva lot higher than a vaccine does. So if really all about keeping your kids safe you should be getting the vaccine.
