Nancy Pelosi Knew Bush Lied About Iraq
In light of the recent revelations that Top US officials repeatedly misled public about Afghanistan War -- now we have Pelosi going on the record to admit that she aided Bush in misleading public about the war in Iraq....something progressives ALREADY KNEW back then....back when we were attacked as terrorists and traitors for being opposed to invading Iraq --- and in the midst of all of this, Pelosi KNEW it was a lie and remained silent.....like a coward..

"In a recent Town Hall appearance, Pelosi said she knew that the infamous WMD-narrative created by the Bush administration wasn’t real. That’s unsettling on its own. But so is the candor and casualness with which she reveals it. Even on live television it doesn’t occur to Pelosi just how bad this answer sounds. She chalks up her passiveness in pursuing Bush’s impeachment to “not wanting to make [impeachment] a way of life” for Americans. Her decision to allow the president to continue an illegal war (started because of a lie she was aware of) was therefore rational because it spared us another impeachment debacle."
First of all, why this story isn't front page news at every media outlet is both amazing and revealing as to how damaging corporate media is when it comes to holding people accountable for major shit like the Iraq War....Pelosi once again shows herself as full of shit.....and republicans who claim she is some radical progressive leftist also shows themselves to be full of shit, because they know Pelosi protected Bush..
"The admission lets slip Pelosi’s (and her party’s) adherence to foreign policy consensus. MANY DEMOCRATS SPOKE OUT AGAINST the invasion of Iraq, but more than 39% Democratic representatives and 58% of Democratic senators voted for it (INCLUDING BIDEN). They were surely privy to the WMD lie as Pelosi admits she was. She said she would’ve listened to the case for Bush’s impeachment over Iraq but it was almost certainly never a serious proposition."
There was a massive push by progressives to impeach Bush for the Iraq War debacle and Pelosi shut it down...her reasoning for pursuing this impeachment (which is the correct move) but not impeaching Bush doesn't make sense...Bush started a war based on a coordinated public lie -- that is illegal and therefore more than enough grounds for impeachment. It seems the democrats feel impeachment is only necessary if presidents mess with the two-party system. For example, Nixon lied about Cambodia, he bombed them...it was illegal...it was impeachable....but he was only impeached when he got caught breaking into DNC headquarters -- and despite Donald Trump’s rampant corruption -- Pelosi only decided to go after him when he bribed a foreign government to dig up dirt on Joe Biden, a potential 2020 election opponent.
This is why I hope all of these establishment corporate types get purged out of office -- and if anyone else ever tries to refer to Pelosi, Biden and these others as being progressives, realize that those people are full of shit...they are anything but progressive....
