Delay is not a 'Bush scandal'.
I didn't say it was. I said that this latest round of scandals to rock the GOP (not Bush specifically) could potentially cost them control of Congress later this year.

Regarding the NSA kerfuffle, that will not go anywhere, Congress cannot legislate away executive authority.
Whether or not it goes anywhere remains to be seen. It's still under investigation. Congress may not be able to legislate executive authority (I don't know, that's another topic altogether), but this is an issue for the judiciary, not Congress, and the judiciary can definitely limit executive authority. If SCOTUS decides he did not have constitutional authority, then it will hurt them.

Please tell what you are referrring to with Pentagon 'watch list.'
Right about the same time as the wire-tapping scandal, it was revealed that the Pentagon, with the authority of the President, had been spying on dissenters and war protestors, placing organizers of anti-war protests on federal watch lists and labeling them as a security threat, undermining the constitutional protection for redress of grievances and peaceful assembly.

Here is one of numerous articles about it. It was also a featured piece on 60 Minutes a few weeks ago.

Wire tapping is hardly a scandal. Since when is using the Constitutionally authorized executive power a scandal?
It is if there is no constitutional authority. You're jumping to the conclusion that the constitutional authority is there, but that hasn't been decided yet.

Delay will be survive [sic] the so called money laundering charges without a problem.
You hope.

It's kind of difficult to prove someone violates a law that was nonexistant at the time it supposedly was violated.
That's a different allegation. That one was dropped. What he's still indicted on is money laundering, and that has been illegal for as long as any of us have been alive.

And regardless Delay's predicament has nothing to do with President Bush.
And? I said nothing about Bush, I said these scandals have rocked the GOP.

What is this so called Pentagon scandal? This is the first I've heard of it and I keep up to date in news so it can't have been than huge a scandal.
It was reported on 60 Minutes, as well as all the major news networks. If I recall, this came out just a few days before the wire-tapping news broke. Lately it hasn't been much reported on, because the wire-tapping thing was more dramatic. For a link to one of many articles about it, scroll up to my previous post.

As for Abramoff, I see no connection with the Bush administration again.
Again, it doesn't matter. Bush isn't the GOP. It isn't Bush who stands to lose ground this fall, it is the GOP.

It looks like its going to hurt Democrats just as much if not more than any republicans it hurts.
That would be interesting, considering that the number of Republicans implicated greatly outweighs the number of Dems implicated. Can we say "wishful thinking" on your part?

And it should hurt any politician stupid enough to be crooked.
Hell, there wouldn't be anybody left in Washington!

Oh, and just so you know the President didnt falsify information in the state of the Union address. The fact is everything the President said was true.
Yes, I'm well aware that he skated around a technical lie by prefacing it with "the British have learned that ..." I've heard that tired canard time and time again. It's as feeble now as it was the first time. Bush fully intended his listeners to believe the information was accurate, and you'd have to be a complete fool (or right-wing shill, which is synonymous in my book) to believe otherwise. Otherwise he would have offered a caveat that the information was inconclusive, under investigation, or in some other way indicated that it wasn't a foregone conclusion.

The fact is the only reason liberals hate President Bush is because he beat them. Period. He hasn't done anything illegal. And quite honestly I have yet to see any one who hates Bush show that he has done anything wrong.
Well, tell you what, the minute you wake up from your coma, and rejoin the real world, you be sure and let us know, okay?

This doesn't say HOW many democrat's were involed, but my last count it was up too at least 30 and upwards.
Yea RIGHT,THE SCANDALS are running rampant amongest the Bush and republicans of today.... you yourself can only come up with four, if that. As I said there all allegations, until proven otherwise. Yet you all have them all tried and convicted. Well it's not happening out into the mainstream America, whereas we ARE CONNECTED TO THE REAL WORLD, BELIVE IT OR NOT.
I'ts so darn easy today to counter the total Bs, MSM, Demo, spin, that even an old lady like me way up here in Alaska can retrieve the true information, but you all just think were all too stupid to understand... Gosh I love the information Highway...
Well gooooollllleeeyyyy, yuk, yuk.
At first, I was going to post about how irrelevant all this is, considering that the Clintons haven't been in the White House for six years. I was also going to point out that this isn't a contest between the Bushes and the Clintons. I was then going to ask you that the GOP please remove that giant corncob they have stuck up their collective ass about Clinton, because obviously they're still smarting from something, I'm just not sure what it is. But then I remembered that my purpose for bringing up the GOP scandals was to point out how they might affect their ability to retain control of Congress this fall, and when I remembered how adversely the Clinton scandals affected the Democrats and the seats they held in Congress, I instead decided to thank you for actually proving my point. So ... thanks!

Rocket science no to consider what Bush has done wrong.

Got us into a toilet in Iraq flushing down over a hundred thousand lives
and an unknown number maimed for life. Lied repeatedly about the
reasons for so doing. Reduced veteran's benefits and made it very
difficult for returning vets to re-establish their lives. Lied about the
war being over. Took the economy from a surplus to record debt and
defecit. Flushes billions of $$ down the toilet with the hurtful war in
Iraq and aids the terrorists by diverting attention from Afghanistan.
Made the US the laughing stock of the rest of the world. The Downing
Street Memos, this was all planned. The Spying on Americans who
have protested his errors. The Abramoff scandal. Lies about social
security. To conclude probably the most hated President in history
and deservedly so. There are many other FACTS that could be enumerated
but that is redundant.

I'm not sure there's a reliable number that's ever been published. The hundred thousand figure may or may not be accurate. It was simply the center of a bell curve estimate of how many civilian lives had been lost directly or indirectly as the result of the war.

Lied repeatedly about the
reasons for so doing.
Whether or not he lied is a bit of a murky area. I certainly believe that there was some intentional misleading going on, some of it by Bush, some of it by his administration, and whole lot of jumping the gun. But he's managed to skate on most of the accusations of technically lying.

Lied about the war being over.
On that one, I think he was simply wrong. Not a lie, just a rash error.

Took the economy from a surplus to record debt and
defecit.
True. However, I don't think he's solely to blame for that. The economy was already going into a lull when he took over. And the stock market plunge after 9/11 wasn't anybody's fault (unless there is someone who can be blamed for 9/11). On the other hand, his rash war policy and the huge increase in military spending, I think, does earn Bush a greater share in the blame for this deficit than in previous administrations (blame-wise, in deficits, and credit-wise in surpluses).

The Spying on Americans who
have protested his errors.
The NSA thing that he authorized is understandable, although I'm still inclined to believe he overstepped some bounds, but we'll have to wait and see what SCOTUS says. The Pentagon thing, though, which he also authorized, really ticks me off. There's no good excuse for that!

Not only is Pelosi a dangerous woman, but her party is a danger to America! They are a danger because they are all too willing to try and appease our enemies and to make dependent upon government as many people as they can so as to ensure their grasp upon power.

My suggestion is, if you do not like the Republican that is in office in your district, senator or state official, then vote for another Republican in the primary. Democrats are not a viable alternative simply because of the above statement. Someday they may be, but not until they abandon their European socialist philosophy of government.

Hmmm, considering the GOP scandals dont number any where near the Clinton scandals (and the list doesnt even include scandals by other dems at the time) then how can the Clintons losing control over congress prove anything about the current GOP? Talk about foolish and stupid.

OH MY GOD!, You are actually still using stats that have been roundly shown to be pure propaganda and absolutely no basis in reality?? Ahhh, liberal to the core, say whatever you need to.

Hey Luv:

Let's forget about the Clintons and their known misdeeds while in office. You seem to be so gleeful about a so called GOP scandal. Better watch out because some of your beloved Dems are going to get caught up in this lobbying mess as well. One prominent name already mentioned is "Dingy" Harry Reid the Dem minority leader in the Senate. Beside three Republicans in the House, two Dems have been targeted for investigation, as well.

Lobbying of members of Congress, and their receiving money, gifts and trips etc. have been going on forever. Is it ok for Dems to receive these kind of things from organized labor but yet not be held accountable for the quid pro quo they have practiced for decades? I say the slate should be wiped clean and all of these things should be outlawed, with lobbists trying to do them be prosecuted and Senators and Congressman shown to have been involved be expelled from their seats, no matter from which party!

If our representatives need to travel, or have meetings with individuals for business related purposes they should have a limited expense account to cover these kind of things. The expense account should be totally transparent so we know who is being met with and for what purpose. These suggestions would go a long way in cleaning up matters on both sides of the aisle.

P.S. Watch for some Dems to be possibly involved in the illegal NSA leak. Word is it may have come from some Members, or members of their staffs. Don't plead that they are whisleblowers. They are not! They jeopardized the safety of me, my children and my grandchildren and should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Remember the statement that the President is not above the law? Well, neither are they!

Maybe my post was confusing, or you are mistaken in how you took it. I have been accused of being female, moderate, and now a Dem supporter ! :)

I would rather cut my hands off than vote for a Dem.

I haven't paid any attention to ''60 Minutes of Crap'' since they butchered my jeep, a lot like Ralph Nader falsified the evidence against the Corvair. I drove that CJ-5 for 10 years, a lot of times very recklessly. It never came close to rolling the way they made theirs flip at 25 mph. Once a bullshit show, always a bullshit show, they have no credibility.
