One in three Americans has put off seeking medical treatment in 2014 due to high costs, according to Gallup — the highest percentage since Gallup began asking the question in 2001.

Thirty-three percent of Americans have delayed medical treatment for themselves or their families because of the costs they’d have to pay, according to the survey. Obamacare, of course, had promised that it would help make health care more affordable for everyone, but the number of people who can’t afford a trip to the doctor has actually risen three points since 2013, before most Obamacare provisions took effect."

What?

No!!
Nuh-UH!!!!!!

Universal Single-Payer, what other nations like ours have, is only the answer. If, that is, Americans would ever grow the fuck up, which they won't.

What part of it's expensive and most are broke don't you get?

If you could explain to me why we have a healthcare system that allows insurance companies to siphon away billions of dollars that would otherwise go to providing health care, I would love to hear it.

If there are those that can't pay for it now, what makes you think they will pay for USP?

Who pays for Universal single payer health insurance?
Everyone. And guess who gets it? Everyone. Nice eh...

If there are those that can't pay for it now, what makes you think they will pay for USP?
Will it be ran like the other government programs? The VA comes to mind.

Yes, and it's a pretty damn good system when the cannon fodder of unnecessary wars doesn't overwhelm it and you little bastards actually give it the dollars it needs, which you won't.

The system as it stands isn't working, that is correct.

Who says it's not working?
I'm sure there are ignorant people like you that think oh those damn evil health insurance companies!

Turning down claims ALL the time!

HOW stupid you people are!
THE FACTS and you are so willing to ignore are:
less the 5% of insurance claims are rejected THE FIRST TIME!
Many of these 5% were because of errors... that eventually are corrected.
On average The American Medical Association reports that between 1.38% and 5.07% of claims are denied by insurers on first submission.
https://www.optum.com/content/dam/optum/resources/whitePapers/Denial_Management_White_paper.pdf

But of course ignorant people like you fail to grasp this fact also!
Insurance companies along with Medicare paid out over $850 billion in claims just because they didn't want to get sued!
FACT again you will NOT believe because you are so f...king dumb:

Proof is 90% of physicians surveyed say they order $850 billion a year in wasted duplicate tests, referrals all out of FEAR of being SUED!
Physicians estimate the cost of defensive medicine in US at $650 to $850 billion per year
Emergency medicine, primary care, and OB/GYN physicians are most likely to practice defensive medicine.
79 to 83% of surgeons and OB/GYNs have been named in lawsuits.
BUT NOTE this: "Physicians contracted by the federal government practice significantly less defensive medicine as they are protected against lawsuits by the Federal Tort Claims Act.
Only 48% practice defensive medicine compared to 92% of non-government physicians.
89% of physicians support a patient’s right to be compensated fairly for true negligence.
SOURCE: Health News Observer rsaquo Physicians Estimate The Cost Of Defensive Medicine In Us At 650 To 850 Bill Articles

FURTHER PROOF you dummies??? Did you read the above.. only 48% of federal government physicians claim "defensive medicine" versus
92% of general practice... WHY?? Federal Tort Claims ACT protects physicians working under federal contracts from lawsuits!

I don't know how to make it more clear but YOU idiots have to read and not just 30 second sound bites!

I"M going to shout!!!
$850 billion a year in defensive medicine claims paid for by insurance companies/medicare BECAUSE OF LAWYERS!!!

The people that can afford to come to the U.S.A. to get away from their countries Universal Single Payer health care would disagree with you.
We are the U.S.A. and we should never be like other nations.
Our Federal government should not be running our health care period.

I am so tired of you ignorant people who are using the Internet but STILL GUESS about this crap!
A) There never was a health insurance crisis!! What made up the "crisis" supposed 4 million people that wanted and needed insurance!
B) Simple! Tax lawyers 10% of their $270 billion and that $27 billion pays the premiums for 4 million people that wanted and need insurance!

FACT is there were 10 million illegals counted as part of Obama's 46 million "UNINSURE"!
FACT there were 14 million people who because of the failure of Obama didn't know all they needed to do was register with Medicaid...THEY WERE COVERED!
FACT 18 million under 34 don't need.. make over $50,000 can afford BUT turn down employers' plans!
That leaves 4 million that truly wanted and need not no F>>>KING 46 million which was used to create this CRISIS!!

Non-critical people don't like to wait at times, but they are all covered, unlike here. It's a not perfect solution, it's Public Health. It works for most and that's enough.

Do they take the money out of the unemployment check to pay for USP? How about the SSDI disability check? How do those that quit looking for work pay for it? Will Medicare and Medicaid and the VA be eliminated? You did say everyone pays didn't you?

Yep, and there is no need for more than one system, but if you want to pay up for private care, knock yourself out.

That's because most Americans would rather die than bankrupt their entire family and leave the next generation or two at the mercy of the streets and trying to climb their way up from the gutter. If you become even mildy in need of some detailed procedures like surgery, that's it. Your offspring are completely screwed and there's an excellent chance that you yourself might lose your home and source of employment.

This is a perverted violation of basic human rights. We have a right to a military, right to police force, right to education, right to fire protection but zero rights to life-saving healthcare. This is the best manifestation of malignant capitalism I could point to. The people involved in bankrupting folks for becoming sick, as all overworked/strapped people will become at some point in their lives, are the true modern day slavemasters. Actually, I take that back. Slaves were valuable and their prudent "owners" probably took greater pains to see to their wellbeing than our politicians do to the general public today..
