Guess Visa and Mastercard aren't worried about being sued...

They get sued all the time, but have considerably more assets and teams of lawyers whereas PAYPAL is relatively new to the game.

Rationalize, rationalize.... whatever makes you feel better...

Do her facts confuse you?

You know companies like car companies and gun companies have teams of lawyers that weigh the pro's and con's of doing something that is risky, like selling a car that will explode on impact or selling guns over the net. They weigh how much they might possibly get sued for against how much they can make in sales, and sometimes decide to do something unethical, just because its worth the risk.

And today the risks aren't even that much. Perfect example, the virginia coal miners. Before Bush, there was a real agency that regulated the mines. If companies were being unsafe, they were fined heavy fines. So Bush put mine owners in charge of assessing the penalties, and from that point on, they only got a slap on the wrist when their caves collapsed, even if they were neglegent. They fired and broke unions and hired illegals, so you don't care if they died I'm sure.

Hmmm...seems like PayPal is itching to get sued.

Were I heading the NRA, I'd be seriously looking into taking them to court over this issue.

Doesn't any business or provider have the right to not sell certain items or transfer money for certain items?

I believe people sign away their right to sue the minute they sign any TOS.

Yes.

Every business has the right to set terms on how its services or goods are used or purchased.

This is not a Second Amendment issue. There are plenty of financial institutions and internet payment gateways that will allow you to purchase guns using their services.

As long as you obey all State and International commerce laws.

Which happens to be the point here---paypal intentionally makes it difficult to use their sevices when buying a weapon. Get it ?

Do you get the point that they have the right to refuse service on whatever they want? They aren't Government owned. It's all about freedom and rights until someone dares goes near that 2nd Amendment.

Paypal is also avoiding any further legal issues later on when someone who buys a gun off PayPal goes on a shooting rampage which ends up having PayPal get sued by the victims.

What do you expect from the cashless New World Order feinds.!?$conspiracy.
They don't want you to be armed ,so you can defend yourself agaisnt them. They want us all to be unarmed, like helpless sheep!!.

It won't. I can't believe this shit. Not using paypal ever again.

Go right ahead, I doubt you'll be missed.

Modbert, I won't be the only one lib fag. I hope those bastards get sued into the ground. It'd be even better if you worked for them...that way you'd lose your job and could get welfare once your unemployment ran out. Wouldn't that be nice, queer?

Aww, Paul is showing off his homophobic tendencies since he can hide behind a computer. However, I'm willing to bet $100 he wouldn't say that if he didn't have the internet to hide behind.

These "bastards" won't get sued into the ground which only goes to show your amount of knowledge when it comes to law. Think about it this bucko, wouldn't the NRA had sued by now if they thought they could win?

By the way, hoping ill upon others? Is that really Christian of you to do? ;)

and people have the right to know the truth about their anti gun policy--then they have the right to use them or not. Have you ever even SEEN the middle ?

Again, I could care less if people know about their "anti-gun" policy or whether people use them or not. Have you ever even SEEN a thing called common sense?

PayPal is avoiding a boatload of legal issues by not allowing this. I'd love to see how long you'd sell guns like you wish PayPal would after you get your pants sued off.

Edit: By the way, do you ever think for a moment that perhaps the people who want a guy so badly can just go to a damn gun store?

I'm not a christian. Nice try. Punk, I would say it directly to your face... If you live in WA on the west side we could arrange a time and place for me to say it to your face, faggot.
How is it wishing other's ill anyway? You want the government to take care of you...if they got sued and you wound up on welfare you'd get your wish.

Think of it like a public service anouncement, Modbert. If you wanna buy a gun--don't use paypal---the may close your whole account. Better?

So what would you be?

 Challenging to me to a fight?

I'm not asking for the Government to take care of me nor are they currently. Besides, if for a moment lets say PayPal got sued and lost to the NRA. They would just have to sell guns, the company wouldn't be going bankrupt you idiot.

Or maybe, just maybe, people can actually read the TOS. Holy shit! Think about that! Reading the rules before you use a website's services?! That's definitely a groundbreaking idea!

This Roberta guy is acting like there isn't some guns you may want that aren't in stock at the local gun store.

I'm not acting like that, the people who are bitching about PayPal are. Go to the gun store if you want a gun so damn badly.

The reason people only use PayPal alone is three reasons:

A.) They're so wide they can no longer fit through the door of their home and do everything by the internet.

B.) They're underage (illegal)

C.) They live in a place where guns are illegal. (Illegal)
