Can't figure out what business it is of theirs. They ARE in business to make money, aren't they?

If you go on to any of the many online gun-shops, such as gunbroker.com, or gunsamerica.com, which are currently selling guns like mad, you will see something interesting: there are fervent and repeated warnings all over the shop-listings on those sites that say things like,

“you can’t use Paypal to buy this gun!”, or “no Paypal allowed, cash, check, c.c., or money order only!”

This is because the anti-Constitution online bank monopoly known as Paypal will shut down any person’s Paypal account if they try to buy a firearm or related products if paying for them with Paypal. No warnings or precautions are ever given; the account is just closed. And if this happens to you, Paypal has productive, even somewhat covert, ways to prevent you from opening a new Paypal account, or using your banking or credit card on a newly opened Paypal account, which is the only way you can use Paypal (unless you want to open a Paypal credit card account and go in debt). This makes it impossible to buy online at the huge number of internet sites that only take Paypal. So, in summary, what this amounts to is that if you buy a firearm or related materials online and pay through Paypal, you are banned from doing commerce on the internet!

No reason is given for this by Paypal to my knowledge, and you can buy all the junk food, soft-porn, Prozac, and Michael Jackson supplies online through Paypal, but for some reason (wink, wink), not firearms and firearms accessories.

Of course you have to maneuver yourself to a gun dealer which may consume 15 minutes of your time and a car ride. Difficult if you're 700 lbs and unable to fit through any door on your home, I realize....

Use cash to buy guns. It takes about 15 minutes.

So, I'm here at home at 6:10 a.m. and the local gun shop doesn't open until 10:00. I have to be at work at 8:30. I'd like to go hunting over the weekend and, being real big on time managment, decide to purchase some "related materials" before heading to the office.

BAM.... NO SALE!

Hmmm...seems like PayPal is itching to get sued.

Were I heading the NRA, I'd be seriously looking into taking them to court over this issue.

My company doesn't accept paypal either, only cash, check or money order.

Sometimes the stupidity on this message board takes my breath away.

OMG! Sucks to be you. You poor thing. I really, REALLY feel for you. You have to arrange your fucking day to purchase a firearm.

Buck up. You could hang out at the corner at about 11 p.m and buy a shitty one for $12.50.

Your company's decision not to accept PayPal has nothing to do with PayPal preventing other businesses from using their services.

Sometimes the stupidity on this message board takes my breath away, too, but I'm still failing to understand your point in this thread, Ravi.

Ravi, I'd rep you for that if I could.

If you're too stupid to buy a gun, you shouldn't have one.

They don't need to worry about shutting mine down, I will be doing it myself. I did fine before I used them and will do just fine without them!

Read her link. It's to some idiot's blog. It is the merchant's decision not to accept pay pal or credit cards and only cash, check or money order.

PAYPAL isn't the damned company that's GETTING PAID -- speaking of stupidity. They're simply collecting a fee for service on a PAYMENT TRANSACTION.

I can make a gun out of my fucking plumbing.

I'm afraid to ask

Never be afraid, my son.

A pipe, a little cotton or fuzz from the drier, some gunpowder or other gunpowderish substance....we're set to go.

I'm deadeye on the shot, incidentally. I can hit anything. So long as I'm not using a handgun. With a handgun, I blast away, I'm lucky not to blow my own foot off.

But if I have to, I'll make it work.
