Pay It Forwards

The first Christmas after our dad died, someone left a box of used toys on the doorstep. Not much to go around for the 7 of us kids, but it was much appreciated. When I married and had children of my own I would take them to the mall each year, have them pick out new toys, then take them to the Salvation Army tree for donation.

I saw the movie Pay It Forward too...and I recall the first time I saw it, I was so terribly upset how it ended!
I was fuming at the writers/directors/producers for having such a crappy ending to what was a touching story.
And to answer the OP's question, I like to think I have done many 'pay it forwards'.
I can't think of any real biggie at the moment, but one nice gesture--holding the door open for the elderly, or helping them carry groceries to their car, etc------can hopefully lead to others doing more of the same :)
