The list below was published back in 2010 but the point is, while 6 figure speaking fees seems outrageously high to most Americans it's not that unusual.

Back in the '80's I hired Bill Veeck to give a motivational speech to my sales team - for a 10 minute speech and about an hour of glad handing the room at the following cocktail party I gave his agent a check for $20K... I woulda gone for Zig but my employer probably would have fired me for hiring a motivational speaker for over $100K - LOL.
