My problem with Huntsman is that HE WORKED IN THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION. Other than that minor fact, and the fact that he's not serious at all about actually running a national campaign, Huntsman is great.

Id hardly call being an ambassador as part of the administration. I actually agree with his viewpoint that when you are called to serve, you serve no matter who asked.

I want to believe him, because I like him on paper, but something about him seems off. For instance, why alienate a swing state like Iowa ("New Hampshire picks presidents, Iowa picks corn") if you're really planning on competing in a general election?

Because Huntsman's campaign has limited funds. Iowa Republicans are more concerned with social conservatives. Whether or not Huntsman really does have those credentials doesn't matter. He is perceived as being a moderate. Therefore, he thought his money would be better spent in NH, where he stands more of a chance.

I think Huntsman is more conservative than people think he is, but he started off by sticking his thumb in the eye of people he really needed to win over.

And it's kind of really too late for him to become "Not Romney #7". The MSM/GOP alliance hasn't gotten done trashing "Not Romney #6" yet.
