As Paul Ryan slinks out of town with his tail between his legs, will he face the damage he has caused to the country that will continue for possibly generations?

Probably not.

Paul Ryan was third in line for the presidentcy.

Yet was silent when:

Neo Nazi's were marching.

He did nothing to protect a true American hero who has dedicated his life to protecting the country and the constitution while the country has been under attack by a grifter.

He is leaving the country with trillions of new debt. What the GOP did under Bush was bad enough, but they attacked Obama every step of the way and created trillions in new debt just since Obama left office.

He has attacked the elderly relentlessly by attacking Social Security, a program that paid for his college after his own father passed.

He has worked to redistribute the wealth of the nation to the top 1%.

The problem with Ryan leaving now is that he waited much too long.

No, he has waited till the fabulous retirement perks kicked in

Paul Ryan's decision to wait until January to retire includes an under-the-radar benefit

Retirement packages like this need to be severely reduced in order to help drain the swamp.

I'm in agreement. Ryan did NOTHING to help repeal Obamacare, did NOTHING to help reduce the spending levels, and even helped fund Planned Parenthood.

Really, it felt like Nancy Pelosi was still Speaker of the House.

I thought when Obama was redistributing the wealth of the nation to the top 1% with Quantitative Easing, you loved Obama for it, because the stock market went up? Why all of a sudden you don't like those liberal elites keeping their money now?

Obama was redistributing the wealth of the nation to the top 1%? Huh?

If there were true, Republicans would have loved him, obviously.

How Federal Reserve Quantitative Easing Expanded Wealth Inequality
Kevin Warsh, a former Fed board member and one of the Brookings panelists, held a different view explaining that quantitative easing as a policy works purely through an "asset price channel" enriching the few who own stocks or other financial products (and not the 96% of Americans who receive the majority of their income through labor).
Now I understand how you can totally be fooled by the liberal elites, it is just your nature of thinking.

A lot you know.

By ending the subsidies, when October comes, a few weeks before the November election, all those Trump supporters in the midwest and Appalachia will find out they can no longer afford healthcare. And Republicans did nothing to replace Obamacare with "something better".

That is when they find out just how badly they have been screwed and Republicans won't be able, this time, to lie their way out.

End of Obamacare subsidies creates an uproar

So you are saying that the GOP Swamp set Trump up for a big fall?

Can't argue with that.

Look at the economy Republicans left Obama.
Then look at the economy Obama left Trump.

So Republicans attack Obama.

It's because he's black. That is the ONLY reason.

Let me fix that for you:

Conservatives ignore facts, period.

They say it's all Obama and Mrs. Clinton's fault.

Spew racist statements and then say prove it even when shown video.

Weren't the "neo-nazis" marching during Nancy Pelosi's tour? What did we get from Nancy and Hussein during the eight stagnant years of the Obama administration except promises to bankrupt the coal industry and bailouts for dying solar companies? Ryan is a freaking hero and sadly it seems that Nancy Pelosi has gone round the bend in the democrat hate race.

Why Apple Is Borrowing $6.5 Billion And What Obama's Trying To Do About It

From your article,

I would in fact argue that the corporate income tax should be abolished in its entirety and simply put the dividend tax rate up to the same marginal rate as normal labor income (not quite right economically but possibly politically acceptable) and do the same for capital gains with a reasonable inflation adjustment.

I can go with that. But no way in hell the Republican establishment would let any such proposal even come to a vote.

Yea, the DOW went from 7,000 to 20,000.
The very definition of stagnation. :cuckoo:

The DOW slumped even below 7,000 in Hussein's first year. Trump has only been in office for about fifteen months. The DOW didn't finally climb into double digits for eight stagnant years until the D.J. was confident with the incoming republican administration

The climb in the DOW that can be attributed to Trump is the one time increase in after-tax income due to the decrease in the corporate income tax rate. Since the value of a stock is simply the anticipated future earnings discounted for present value a tax decrease provides an immediate increase in the value of those future earnings that translates into higher stock prices. But it is a short term gimmick that can quickly be eclipsed by other market concerns as we have seen with inflation and potential trade wars. It is in no way a "long term" solution, nor does it change any fundamentals within the demand economy.

Hypocrite democrats were extorting money from corporations (Hillary 250k speeches to Wall Street bankers) while pretending to be at war with corporations. It only worked (works) with the dumbed down angry democrat base and voters who don't habla english.
