Paul Ryan rips Obama’s comment that ‘if you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that

If you don't believe Obama, try this...

Buy a large section of raw land and build your own business - including all infrastructure. Build and pay for your own defense, transportation (roads/highways/ports/shipping), education, research & development, energy, police, courts, etc. without help from anyone else - including the government.

There is much more, but surely you get the drift by now. Good luck...

Who pays for all this?? the GOV??

I do...you do....we all do you moron.

Yet another dumb fuck. The government does not just hand people money to start a new business despite what con men like lesko say. The businesses you pay for are businesses that take corporate welfare because they have friends in government. Those businesses would be like Bain capital and other ventures mittens and his friends have because according to the republicans if we give them money they will make new jobs. That never happens, but you are the fuckwits claiming we need to give the wealthy money to make jobs while telling small business owners you simply are not a part of the american dream unless youa re already rich.

Now quit your bitchin about things your tiny little mind cannot possibly comprehend and go heil Romney like a good sheeple.

I'll admit that you have a point on the government building the environment for it, but then people build a business within that environment. Government can be very bad as seen throughout much of the world to the development of business.

A lower corperate tax would be good for business. Not everything our government does is good for business.

Ahhh, then try doing it in Russia if you think the environment is not important.

This is why you need a government that is favorable for business. It's quite important. This is why we want to lower the corporate tax.

Does President Obama Think You Didn’t Build Your Business? No.

By Benjy Sarlin

Here’s the full passage:

“If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.

The point is, is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together. There are some things, just like fighting fires, we don’t do on our own. I mean, imagine if everybody had their own fire service. That would be a hard way to organize fighting fires.

So we say to ourselves, ever since the founding of this country, you know what, there are some things we do better together. That’s how we funded the GI Bill. That’s how we created the middle class. That’s how we built the Golden Gate Bridge or the Hoover Dam. That’s how we invented the Internet. That’s how we sent a man to the moon. We rise or fall together as one nation and as one people, and that’s the reason I’m running for president — because I still believe in that idea. You’re not on your own, we’re in this together.”

Hey! dipshit. We all heard what the jackass said. We don't need no stupid liberals to interpret for us.

Obviously you do since in so many threads you completely altered what he says.

I guess the truth scares the fuck out of you. Now please go change your underwear i can smell your fear from here.

So then the environment created by a capitalist government is actually important or else you would not have a business.

Thank you for killing your own point. Now in the future as a mittens supporter you should learn to never debate people with a higher intelligence than you. That would be everybody who is not a mittens sheeple. From now on when someone confronts a point of your you are supposed to yell Obamacare sucks and deflect from the issue.

What are they teaching in high school these days? My family, as well as thousands of other families came to this nation before it WAS a nation. There were no government built roads, bridges, welfare programs or anything else other than land, desire and work ethic. There were no government built sewer systems or utilities. They came to this country, engaged in commerce and then decided to form a government to SERVE the people. The government exists BECAUSE of the people of this nation. It is sad that this nation's children no longer understand that.

I expect such a comment from the likes of Barney Frank,Elizabeth Warren and the like.
But for the President of the United States to say something like this with a crowd cheering him on
was disgraceful...

Well, it is a balancing game. The government does provide the environment and all those things Lakota speaks of, but as pointed out that in many nations(russia as pointed out) it can also be less then a favorable environment for that development. Maybe my mindset is a little too simple and should consider the entire framework of the development of business, but let's not attack the messenger....This is a good reason why we need a government that respects the private market and aims to keep the tax rate competitive. We have one of the highest corporate taxes on earth! How do we compete? Lots more to consider.

It's very important to have the right government in power. We republicans believe in a free market that allows for much freedoms for businesses to develop.

Typical republicans, hiding their use of government funds to create their businesses, and pretending workers in america are not damaged when you fire them to make sweatshops overseas, and then they just pull shit completely out of context for an attack.

so the government has funds? do they have a magic money tree planted somewhere?

I just don't get the timing of the President's attack on business.
With the economy in the toilet this President should not get a second term.
So what does he do he mocks the very people that he needs to help him get elected.
Is this guy so arrogant that he feels he can say and do anything and people will vote for him...

it does make you wonder..

I think he's just a arrogant idiot who really believes the people will fall for his Socialist shit, after all they did the first time.

I don't see it happening this time

He needs to lower the corporate tax and work on making a more favorable environment for business development. This is important if we want our businesses to compete. :eusa_shhh:

My problem with the democrats wanting to raise taxes on the "rich" is most of the business owners will just pass most of that onto us little people. This will also lower demand as less people want to buy(buying power) and that leads to a lowering of the growth rate throughout our economy. :eusa_whistle:

Paul Ryan rips Obama’s comment that ‘if you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen’

James Pethokoukis | July 16, 2012, 8:26 pm

It was Rep. Paul Ryan’s wife, Janna, who first saw — via Twitter — President Obama’s recent comments about American entrepreneurs, that “if you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.”

And the Wisconsin Republican — thought to be on Mitt Romney’s running-mate short list — couldn’t believe it. He thought someone must “have been putting words in the president’s mouth.”

But Obama said it all. And Ryan absolutely tore into the president in a chat I had with him earlier today. Among the highlights:

– “The idea that these entrepreneurs owe all their success to some government bureaucrat or some centralized planner just defies reality.”

– “Every now and then, President Obama pierces the veil. He’s usually pretty coy about his ideology, but he lets the veil slip from time to time.”

– “We believe in free communities and this is a statist attack on free communities.”

– “He’s deluded himself into thinking that his so-called enemies are these crazy individualists who believe in some dog-eat-dog society when what he’s really doing is basically attacking people like entrepreneurs and stacking up a list of scapegoats to blame for his failures.”

– “As all of his big government spending programs fail to restore jobs and growth, he seems to be retreating into a statist vision of government direction and control of a free society that looks backward to the failed ideologies of the 20th century.”

– “Those of us who are conservative believe in government, we just believe government has limits. We want government to do what it does well and respect its limits so civil society and families can flourish on their own and do well and achieve their potential.”

– “He wants to be as transformational as Reagan by undoing the entire Reagan revolution.”

Paul Ryan rips Obama’s comment that ‘if you

I'm beginning to believe libs really do think that a tooth fairy comes and gives the government money and then the government in all its greatness and kindness takes care of the country with the money from the tooth fairy.

Quite remarkable.
