Paul in statistical tie for 1st in Iowa

The "Guy Who Can't Win" Tied Atop The "Leaderboard" in Iowa.

But my TV said he can't win?

Straw polls continue to be pointless.

Paul is in a statistical four way tie in one poll in one state. Oh, and 70% of the people in the poll considered themselves undecided.

Romney Two-Way Race Now Four-Way Republican Dead Heat in Iowa - Bloomberg

The poll reflects the race’s fluidity, with 60 percent of respondents saying they still could be persuaded to back someone other than their top choice, and 10 percent undecided. Paul’s support is more solidified than his rivals, while Cain’s is softer. All of the major contenders have issue challenges to address.

If anything, this poll is a reflection of the social conservatives ABM "Anyone but Romney" mantra. This is further shown in the rise of Newt in the polls. Even more evidence is present with the absence of Romney in the recent social policy debate in Iowa.

Libertarians like yourself Paulie should also take note that Paul's numbers are rising in Iowa because he's trying very hard to reach out to social conservatives.

straw polls had nothing to do with my post bro. This is a mainstream poll of likely voters that Paul is polling well on and considering his popularity limits up to this point its something significant because this is a first for him. If you want to go out of your way to minimize the achievement in any way possible be my guest, but as a Paul supporter who's waited patiently for 5 years for something like this, I'm going to enjoy it for whatever its worth.

And why shouldn't he reach out to the social con base? Hes doing what hes supposed to be doing. You cant win the nomination without them, and theres plenty about him that should appeal to them anyway. Hes out spending and out ground gaming his opponents in Iowa because he has to. A win in Iowa is the only way hes going to get media relevance, and we all know that unless the media takes u seriously, you will not win.

Why are you always so combative when it comes to the Paul family?

Paulie, you read far more into the poll than is there, I think. Good for Paul. If we does well, let's see what NH, SC, and FL bring. If he is still in the mix, 99% of will be surprised, many pleasantly so. Time will tell.

flavor of the week until he proves differently ~ he has not.

How can he be a flavor of the week when he hasn't even become a flavor yet?

Perry, Cain, and Gingrich rose in the polls because they had the media cramming them down people's throats. Cain won a god damn STRAW POLL and the media wouldn't shut the fuck up about it until he rose to the top of the polls. That's interesting when you consider they write off every straw poll win by Paul.

The media does NOT want you thinking about Paul. They go out of their way to avoid him whenever its possible.

The fucking guy just cracked 1st place in a real poll for the first time in his presidential campaigning career and they STILL remain silent about him.

How could he be the flavor of the week???

Ron Paul won't get many delegates. His 10% of worthless delegates will be the loudest, but he's basically a Nader/Stassen/also ran. Even if he wins a few delegates in Iowa, he won't win where it counts. Neither will Newt, or Cain, or Bachman, or Santorum, or Huntsman, or Perry, or ..........

Hey I hear Donald Trump is getting back in!! da-fuck.

Paul in statistical tie for 1st in Iowa

Very sad for the GOP.

The media does NOT want you thinking about Paul. They go out of their way to avoid him whenever its possible.

Nonsense.

The media don’t care about Paul one way or the other; they go where the money is, their only motivation.

Your perception that Paul is subject to some sort of nefarious media ‘conspiracy’ is pathetic.

The media don’t cover Paul because they know GOP party bosses won’t have anything to do with him.

...Ron is not well known, is a poor public orator, is a kook, has no political experience, is too old, is a nut, & worst of all... wants to end WORLD COP which is a game most American's love to play. Don't U ever watch/listen to the Major Managed News Media(MMNM)???

New poll shows 4-way tie in Iowa as Ron Paul moves to top tier - Political Hotsheet - CBS News

Herman Cain was a nobody sitting around 5% and then won a straw poll and instantly became top tier and front runner as far as the media was concerned. So what does this mean for Paul? This isn't a straw poll this time, these are real polls of likely voters.
