Affirm Films has produced a lot of good stuff, I would be surprised if they didn't do a good job. Most recent one was Risen, a well done epic story of the resurrection done from an interesting viewpoint.

Just about everything out of Hollyweird is tainted somehow. But Hollywood didn't produce this one. I might check it out.

Don't you mean you hope it "follows history" not the NT which even eludes to the fact that Saul is not Paul? And tells a story about Paul (sneaking out the window fleeing to Syria)borrowed from the life of

called Paul who had with him a maggis(elymas) friend called Bar(son)Jesus, who Saul called the son of the devil.
The 3/4 the NT said to be written by Paul was also rumored to be written by Apollonias a non Jew therefore by combining the image of a Pius Jew Saul, they can sell a conversion story to convert Jews through.
Just as we see today, messianic proselytizing conjures up false claims that they were once Jews now converted, as they are willing to do or say anything to try and sign people up to make themselves feel validated.
