Pat Robertson Says Gays 'Will Die Out'


In comments made on his show "The 700 Club" on ABC Family that were then posted on YouTube by Right Wing Watch, Robertson replied:

"You know those who are homosexual will die out because they don't reproduce. You have to have heterosexual sex to reproduce. Same thing with that church. It's doomed. It's going to die out, 'cause it's the most nonsensical thing I have heard in a long time. This is absurd.

God has made us to be in families. God has created a desire of men and women to have attraction to the opposite sex so that they will reproduce and have children.

If I were you, I'd get out of the church as fast as I could, cast the dust of it on your feet, shake off the dust and run.

Homosexuality has in existence since pre-history. Its heterosexuals who produce homosexuals.

In fairness, he's not the only one who ignores reality in favor of agenda.

I'm all for criticizing him when he is wrong. But how exactly is he ignoring reality by saying that they will die out? Will they live forever or find a way to reproduce without the aid of the opposite sex? Because last time I checked it does take a male and a female to reproduce. You would be absolutely right if the only source of new gay people was from existing gay people. Perhaps you haven't noticed, but the present crop of gays didn't just magically pop out of some giant mysterious closet in California. They were produced through heterosexual sex, just like you. Are you suggesting there is a new way to produce children, and that parents can designate that their child won't be gay?

Heterosexuals give birth to homosexuals, consequently homosexuals will never 'die out,' at least not until the entire human race comes to an end.
